When you are in time, can you please tell me how to make it that the zCommunity is my default page, and the forum is like action=forum?  ;)

Thanks Charles,
It's a great mod.  Just this avatar problem that's got me stumped.

Charles Hill

@ The Crusader ... I don't have SMF 2 RC1 and I haven't made zcomm be the default forum page with the board index being at action=forum on any versions of SMF 2.  If I recall correctly, the only places you should have to change anything are SMF's Sources/Load.php and SMF's main index.php.  I don't really have time to look at SMF 2's code to figure this out right now.  :(

PfalzNacht

Hmm, at your page is the startpage the zCommunity and the forum is action=forum.  ;)

How you did this?
Only by edit the Load.php and the index.php?

I'll try it out, and when i got it i will post the changes.  ;)

Hi I have the same problem to. The permissions works not correct. I haveall permissions for user - on too, but can't write an artikel.

Andree

1. on the community mainpage i can't sort article by any parameter - redirect to forum main page
2. variable b622 occurs twice in the text Post.english.php on line 47 and 50.
3. when i go to blogs - active tab is home. See picture.

Sorry for bad english

Andree

no text, only numbers 319, 301, 29.
see picture

Thanks that's just a text string issue... guess I missed a few spots where smf's text strings are still used instead of all zcomm strings.

1.  Change $context['zc']['zCommunity_is_home'] = true; back to $context['zc']['zCommunity_is_home'] = false;  (located in zCommunity/zc.php)

2.  Not sure what the problem is?  Need more info

3.  I assume you're using SMF 2?  I haven't figured out SMF 2's menus yet... You'd think everything would be located in one place... but noooooo... sigh

Andree

1. when i edit article - alt text for code button is Red, i simply removed the line 50
2. another missed text.see picture

Charles Hill

Yup I found them all.  They were in options arrays of various settings.  Thanks :)

When I extract the zip package I have no folders at all and hence not one that ends with _files. Thinking I was misunderstanding something I installed it anyway and it doesn't show up anywhere except in the admin CP.

I may need some enlightenment on how to install this or it won't work with my very tweaked theme.
Thanks

Kindred

There are two zip files...   one called   ***_files.   THAT is the one that you have to manually upload to your server before you install the package.

As for your theme, I can say, almost certainly, that it won't work completely without further tweaks

Well, aren't I jist a ninny :-[

Lemme try that.
Thanks

Best I can tell it installed, all the admin stuff is there, I enabled it and set permissions for everybody, but it doesn't show up in anybody's profile. Oh well.

This looks like a colossal amount of very hard work went into developing it, but I don't really need it and at the moment it isn't worth what it looks like I'm going to have to go through to get it working.

that is correct...  I do not believe there is any link in the forum profile yet...   that is something that Charles has mentioned but has not done (if I am correct)

How do you use it then? I couldn't find it anywhere. I thought I read  somewhere in this thread that you were supposed to start a blog in your profile. Does it have anything to do with importing the boards or whatever that setting I saw was?

Go to the Blogs tab from your forum's main navigation menu... Or you can reach it via the address bar...   .../index.php?zc    should be self explanatory from there.

edit.....

You are correct.  I haven't added that yet....  I've been hesitant to make modifications to SMF's code.  Less is more I think.  Though having information from your site's zCommunity in the user profiles could be very helpful.

Kindred

SMF Media Gallery has done a nice job of adding a profile tab for the user's galleries and images...   You might take a look at how they did that.

(mind you, this is for 2.0RC1)
