Hi,

firstly thanks for helping me fix my last problem. I think that I've got it under control!  ;D

I have a website www.mototalkuk.com [nofollow] which is starting to build up and go for launch. It has several forum catergories for different genres.

I also own the web address www.trialstalkuk.com [nofollow] and instead of building a complete new forum for that, I would like to point this web address straight at that section therefore bypassing the main site.
The idea being that when somebody types in trialstalkuk.com [nofollow] they go straight to that section of the forum and they don't have to go and scroll down through mototalkuk.com [nofollow] to get to it.
My host says just give him the link and he can do it - but I can't see how I can generate the link. Can one of the many bright ones on here help me on that one?

Also - I'm using 1.1.8 with the extreme61 theme but I can't seem to get my site logo up across the screen using the 'current theme' settings in the admin panel. I've searched how to alter the settings manually but I can't find the coding required to do it. I have the logo hosted on a file hosting website which allows linking etc.

Finally - is it possible to have a different logo on the trialstalkuk section that the main mototalkuk section? If so, how?

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Shaun.

Hi Shaun,

Do you have a CPanel? (where you manage your redirects, fantastico, file manager, etc.)

You will need to setup a redirect for the domain to the exact board url for where you would like them members to end up when accessing the domain. You can find this by going to the area you wish for the domain to direct to and copying the url from the nav window in the browser.

For the theme question.. Many theme authors remove the option to set a logo by url in the admin area. You will most likely need to replace the theme logo with your in the template or css code. You can ask the theme author where the logo is coded in the theme support thread which can be found by clicking the comments on this theme link from the theme download page.

As for adding a logo to that section of the forum only.... You could look through the code used for the ad management mod to see how it places ads in only certain places in the forum.
PM at your own risk, some I answer, if they are interesting, some I ignore.

No problem :)

If this is solved feel free to mark it as solved by selecting it from the bottom of the thread next to the linktree.
