What you want is what you want :)

You cannot set global categories...... yet... I'll keep it in mind... I have bigger fish to fry at the moment though.

Ah, okay then. It'd be a nice additional option for whenever the next update comes along. :) Keep up the great work.

I think i found a "typo" in 0.7.7. The window that pops up when you click on Subscribe while viewing an article says "Are you sure you wish to enable notification of new articles for this blog?". Shouldn't it be "...of new comments for this article?" ? I don't really see the point of actually subscribing to comments at all, but the URL while hovering the Subscribe-link while viewing a blog and while viewing an article differs, which is why i presume that they have different functions:

Blogs: [root]/index.php?zc=notify;sa=on;blog=6.0;sesc=123;from=blog,6,0

"Are you sure you wish to enable notification of new articles for this blog?"

Articles: [root]/index.php?zc=notify;sa=on;blog=6.0;sesc=123;from=article,12,0

"Are you sure you wish to enable notification of new articles for this blog?"

The Subscribe link in the Options window (or just below the link tree when no windows are being displayed) is the subscribe link for the blog you're viewing ... The subscribe link for articles is the little globe icon that becomes visible when you hover over the gear icon on an article.  The from=article,12,0 or from=blog,6,0 parts of the URLs are for redirecting you back to the page that you came from originally when you clicked it.

Ooooh, i see. Hehe, keeping my eyes out for no good here, lol. ;) Thanks for explaining, Charles!

Hello, I just install this MOD on RC1 as per the instructions, uploaded the zCommunity folder to my root directory and then uploaded zCommunity_0_8_0_beta__smf_install via the Package Manager.

When I click "Apply Mod" I don't get any test failed, then I click "Install Now" and I get this message...

"Database updated successfully!
Click here to view your control panel"

Then I click "Click here to view your control panel" and it takes me back to Board Index page and nothing happens.

Then when I go back to the Package Manager it gives me the option to Apply the Mod again as if it was not installed?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Wonderful mod features...I have hit a few bumps in the road as follows:

1 - I have no blog link in admin [see missing_admin_text.JPG] I'm an idiot I didnt even realize it had its own section...i was used to blog community...any idea how to get rid of that space where the blog community text used to be in admin?

2 - I have areas showing misaligned [see misalignment_in_cp.JPG]

3 - The layout in some areas of blog admin are funny [ see pics funny1, 2 and 3]

4 - I cannot for the life of me find how to edit my posts?

0.8.0 Beta now available :)

It appears I would have loaded this zcommunity as you were posting the updated version....

in order to switch from 0.7.9 to 0.8.0 will i have to uninstall all over again and reinstall?

and if so does this mean I have to remove the zip files that ended in '_files.zip' manually again and add them again?

thanks :)

Same problem as mrtrc266 with SMF 1.1.8

Edit: I have edited index.php,  Subs/php, Who.php, Index.template.php
No one line added by the package. Somtehing is wrong with the install script but I don't find what.

No, manual install should work by I prefer waiting a fixed version. I have checked all files in the Install package, tried my package parser, I don't find an error.

Aaaww.. =( I who was so happy for Charles with the release of B8! There's always something bugging that guy, literally, lol. Take your time Charles! We're not going anywhere. =O)

I tested this on blank SMF 1.1.8 and blank SMF RC1... If you are having problems could you please post your PHP version as well as SMF version?

mrtrc266
