Moved forum to live server now getting Template Parse Error

Here's the error I'm getting:

Template Parse Error!
It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system.  This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again.  If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

You can also try refreshing this page.

Funny thing is, I copied my current forum (including the entire Themes folder) up to the live site only changing the relevant settings in the Settings.php file (like database name, login, password, absolute directory, etc.).

Help!
John

Thanks for the reply, Jerry.
I reuploaded the Themes and the entire working site again, changed the settings again, changed all the 777 files that were supposed to be changed, and I'm still getting the same error...
Any other ideas? Could it be permissions? what should the permissions be on all the files except the 777 ones?
Thanks!
John

I am not sure what to tell you, try editing the settings.php with repar_settings.php instead
What is repair_settings.php?

Tried both the repair_settings.php and repair_paths.php (and they both DID find some problems where I didn't change absolute addresses and still had a few testing server URLs lingering), but I'm still getting the template parse error thing.

Any other suggestions? If I do a clean install, will I lose my members and messages? (I have the database backed up but is there anything else I'd need to backup)?

I hate reinstalling, because I have it the way that I want now, but since it isn't working anymore (all I did was move it from my local server!), that might be an option. Please let me know if you can think of anything else.
thanks.
