Spam on 2.0 RC1-1

We're having so much spam every day which is turning a lot of posters off before we get it taken off.
The capta thing helps a little bit but then people are unable to register because they can't see the letters. How do i deter the spammers and still keep people registering?

Have a look through the mod site for some mods that can help - reCAPTCHA is one mod that is good because it's hard for spammers to beat. Plus there are mods like Stop Forum Spam that can help.
