Looks like the string the string, :total}, should be converted to some other value or string before being used in mysql_query... There's a few possible causes to that... Difficult error to fix.

I have it (0.7.9) running on 2.0RC1.

Yes but I ran into some trouble with it on 2.0RC1-1.  So it looks like 2.0RC1 will be the last SMF compatibility it will have.

For everyone who's going back to 0.79...are any of you using simpleportal?
I am using simpleportal and 0.79 blog and all the blocks from front page are gone :) There's just one block and that's bottom block.

GliG

It gave this error;

There appears to have been a problem with the database. Please try again.
If the problem persists, please contact the site's administrator.

I got this fixed. I removed all the blocks from simpleportal admin panel and placed them back. Now simpleportal and blog are working fine.

Arrghh! Someone wants me to customise the look of this beast and what do I see? Nested tables in the templates? No ID on basic things like the nav links at the top so you can find them easily and target them? Grumble mumble rhubarb......................

* Antechinus goes back to excavating and template editing
:P

MrMorph

Does anyone know how to add a link to any existing blog for a user in their profile page please ?

Cheers.

what do you mean "you made everything"?

the database file is not something you make... you upload it an run it in order to create all of the database tables

you installed zxCommunity how?

You uploaded the files and run the package mod?
did you then specifically upload and run the database install file?

I got the 0.7.9 version working and I wonder if I would like to upgrade into 0.8.1 version do I have to run the install_db_edits.php again?
I believe that I don't have to run that db_edits again since I have already run it while installing the 0.7.9 version.

GliG

I installed the modification normally. First I uploaded the file, then installed as a package. I checked the database, all the tables are OK. And the blog works fine. The only problem is when I create a new standart member and that member creates a blog, it cannot be viewed.
