Mystery: All Avatars/Attachments have Disappeared?

I woke up this morning to find out that all avatars had disappeared from the forums. Only those who had their avatars from an extrenal host, were fine. Everything else was gone.

While looking into this, I also realized that there was an important upgrade that I had to do (from version 1.9 to 1.10) so not sure if that has anything to do with it? I upgraded right away of course.

I looked into the 'Attachments' folder and it was gone (not there anymore) which is mysterious, because it was just there less than 7 hours ago. The 'Avatars' folder was still there but it only had those default singers and actors avatars.

I just couldn't get a backup of the avatar folder so I had to crate a new 'attachment' folder and asked my members to get them again which was very inconvenient.

It is just a mystery thought how they went missing? what could have happened? I have put this behind me, and moved on, but I just don't want it to happen again. It is not like we were hacked, because it is not like they would only delete that one folder.

I have gone over similar topics from the past on this forum, and made sure I was doing everything right.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Do you have other administrators? Perhaps they did something?

I can't think of the forum would randomly do this without you doing anything.

Same thoughts here. There's basically nothing that will delete avatars stored in the attachments directory.
You should contact your host.
