That's all of it. Now, i disabled e-mail reports of PM's (for me) and i can't quite understand what's the issue here. It just freaks me out! Bug? Something i messed up?

No, someone has registered with, and is receiving pm notification on, an email account that has an auto response set up.

As the internet goes, that's really quite rude imho.  Anyway, you can tell from this:

X-Autorespond: New Personal Message: Re: (No subject)

I would search for whoever [email protected] is, and disable their pm notifications and send them a firendly pm notifying them of the mistake.

i figured out it had something to do with notification, but get this:

goad.serverhr.com is the server/domain where our hosting is located. For instance, our mailer daemon is [email protected] or something like that. So, i believe it is something with either the forum (which i doubt) or something on the server.

I ate half my desk and still can't figure it out. Members replied to an announcement that they don't get such e-mails.

If that's your actual server, it's possible it's trying to send you a failure notice.

What MTA do you have installed? (exim, qmail, sendmail, etc.)

MTA?  :D :D :D

i use cPanel X and sendmail (i guess). i was thinking about failure notice...but can't quite figure out what would cause a failure. It's definitely a notification but obviously unrouted or something.

I ate 3/4 of my desk, although the bottom left drawer didn't end up in my stomach quite well.
