SMF-Bridge / Mambo Flawless Integration?

Hi,

Does anyone of you have integrated Mambo CMS and SMF flawlessly?
The thing is, somebody made a SMF-Bridge to Mambo and there were a couple of major bugs.
I was able to fix most of it but there's one left that's ticking me off.

When a user tries to post a code on his message, consecutive opening tags "<" were not displayed.

<<>&L&^>when a user post the code above, the first two "<<" char dissappeared.

My site is http://mambohacks.com ... there's a user userdemo/userdemo. You guys can try to write a message and just preview it to see what's i'm talking about.

Ok... i've been reading a lot of post about SMF-Bridge.
I'm just curious, am I the only one who gets the bugs just like the one I posted here earlier? (i'm on SEF)
If your site is on SEF mode, were you able to update your profiles though the bridge? Because I was not able to, but I already fixed this.

Well, I mostly work on the development of SMF, and I've only tested the integration with Mambo.  I have heard that SEF causes a lot of problems as current.

I believe I have fixed most of it. Just this one bug left on this post  that i'm still trying to figure out.
So i'll appreciate anyone who has a clue telling me what they can find out.

Ok! I got a work around! I can post codes now without a mess!

But it involves 2 more SMF files to be edited.  Just a single line of code addition on script.js and Subs-Post.php.
I think the problem is coming from Mambo automatic filtering just like you said.

There was a couple of them, mostly major for SEF and mod_login (hack). I posted the subjects in my site forum announcement. As what exactly I did, I cannot explain the code fixes for now, it's that many to mention.
