Making a word in a topic or reply automatically change to a URL?

For example:

Someone uses the word washer in a topic or reply. The word washer would change to this affiliate URL.

[url=http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=omv7WULuxaw&subid=&offerid=93887.1&type=10&tmpid=2111&RD_PARM1=http&RD_PARM2=%253A%252F%252Fwww.appliancepartspros&RD_PARM3=.com%252FAppliance-Parts%252FWasher-Parts%252Findex.aspx]Washer[/url]

or the html version of it..

<a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=omv7WULuxaw&subid=&offerid=93887.1&type=10&tmpid=2111&RD_PARM1=http&RD_PARM2=%253A%252F%252Fwww.appliancepartspros&RD_PARM3=.com%252FAppliance-Parts%252FWasher-Parts%252Findex.aspx">Washer</a>

I tried to do this in Admin>Post and Topics>Censored Words were you can have one word = another. But it would only display the code and not a clickable link in place of the word.

Is there another way I could get this to work?

Edited to add: I'm using SMF 1.1.10

I just tested on a default SMF 1.1.x and you should be able to use URL bbcode fine with the word censor

If you're adding adverts for certain words (which I'd suggest not doing as this is a great way to make users leave your site!), you'd probably be best asking for a mod so that perhaps you can turn things off per membergroup. You might also want to disable the option for users to disable the word censor (if you haven't already.)

Hmm, guess I will have to try it again.
Did you happen to try it with the above examples of code I gave?

Some type of mod would be a better way. I wanted something like https://publishers.kontera.com/ but without the pop up windows they have.

Did not know that was a option, were do I disable it at?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Current Theme > Themes and Settings > Allow users to turn off word censoring? :)

I also confirmed that the word censor works with the exact bbcode you posted above
