Ok peeps, I've remade the main_block.psd with the extra height for RC2, etc. Sorry about the delay. The new version (2300x864) has replaced the old version (2300x664) in the OP of this thread.

Sordell Media

I don't quite get this PSD stuff as I'm not a graphics guy.... how does the PSD translate into the forum theme? Is it setup with layers or something to easily export the individual graphics, or something else?

Marcus Forsberg

Sordell Media, you open it with Adobe Photoshop and from there you are able to edit each individual layer of main_block.png to customize your theme (Or whatever the PSD you have is).

feline

PSD is the short form and file extension for Photoshop Documents.
From Photoshop you have to save that as main_block.png to uses it in SMF Themes.

Is there a way to obtain the original version? I would like to add some new features to the images..

Antechinus

The original psd for the main_block image is attached to the OP of this thread. :)

Just as an example of what can be done to Curve with only CSS and image changes, here's a theme I'm working on:

Before anyone asks, I'm creating it solely for a client and therefore it won't be made available to others. I just wanted to give another example of what's possible with a Curve variation.  :)

Antechinus

Oh a lot more is possible than that. As soon as I can take a break from working on Curve itself I'll be making another theme or two. ;)

Indeed, it was just an example.

Cool, I'm looking forward to them.  :)

Both my themes are made without editing any template file, besides the note about the theme in the bottom.

@ smp420

These attached themes are not approved by SMF.

Thank you very much the only thing keeping me from making a new site is I couldnt find a theme.

I'm on my 4th re-theme of Curve.
This is a design I'm working on for my girlfriend Fire Emblem roleplay board.

There's a lot of little things that had to be changed and I've ended up making a lot of changes to BoardIndex.template.php

Antechinus

That's class. I like it. :) Good to see people starting to get a bit more adventurous. ;)
