i tried to implement it on SMF 2.0 RC2 , but nothing happens....

Great tip, just one problem, I'm using SMF 2.0RC2, and the loading image does not disappear when the page finishes loading. How can I fix this?

EDIT: The loading image works absolutely fine, sorry about that. It does however remain visible on my homepage, but I suppose thats because I have some javascript there in a custom html block? is there a way to not have the loading image on there?
