Hello.

I recently upgraded RC2 to RC3.

When I am trying to download a package to the server (upload from my computer), it says like this:

And when I manually add the packages into my FTP, it doesn't show up in the list (Yes, I am aware of the right folder/direction).

Summary is, that I cannot upload packages to install.

Could anyone help? Any solution? :)

Nimnix

Bump. I still have problems with this.

Please don't bump within 24 hours, everyone is a volunteer here.

HMm, that's interesting. Are the permissions set right?

Oh, I'm sorry.

The CHMOD? Indeed, I've set all files and folder to CHMOD 777 and double-checked.

I wasn't thinking so much about chmod, more about ownership of the folder.

I would also wonder if there isn't something wrong with the path somewhere and it thinks the Packages folder is somewhere other than where it actually is.

Well, I use 000webhost, and the packages folder is at the right place.

{domain}\public_html\Packages

What do you mean with ownership? I copied the folder from the RC3 Large Upgrade, aswell as everything else in the RC3 large upgrade.

Arantor

While the folder is in the right place, does SMF think it's all in the right place? Do images work as they should for example?

As for ownership, on a server (like 000webhost, though many here confirm they're really not good), files have owners, usually your FTP username. Who is the listed owner of these files?

I've never had any troubles, I know it's in right place. Since everything else works.

And for the ownership, I don't know how to check that. Though, shouldn't they be owned by me if they are moved to my FTP?

Arantor

That's the problem. The webserver doesn't run as your user, it runs under its own account - so files aren't owned by your user account, and vice versa.

I fixed it! The settings.php were messed up, so the %boarddir or whatever it names were in contact with a #.

Marked Solved. :) Thanks for your help Arantor!
