Well, my last problem were solved. Now, when I'm trying to install the mods, it says some files of the package manager aren't writable.

I've set the CHMOD to 777 for all files & folders, so it should work, shouldn't it?

Nimnix

Would appreciate an answer, I need to have my mods.

First up, patience. Everyone here is a volunteer and bumping within 24 hours is somewhat frowned upon in any board here.

Some hosts don't like 777, try 775 or 755. Also try creating a temp directory inside the Packages directory.

Alright, well, I cannot set the chmod to 755 or 775, if I do, SMF will give out warnings for cache and stuff not being writable.

But, chmod 777 worked fine in RC2. I never had troubles with the package manager in RC2. Why does the message "You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!" keep coming up even if they ARE writable.

Arantor

So... try creating a directory called temp inside the Packages folder.
