Ran into problems sending Mail. Error: 500 5.5.2 unrecognized command

Well i updated my smf to 1.1... and now i get a error trying to relay any emails from the forums. i have [email protected] set as my webmaster email. I get 500 5.5.2 invalid or illegal from address in my mercury mail. I cant seem to find a from address that willo work. Thanks for any help in advanced.

well after some research and tons of great help from mercurymail's community, i think i need to find the script in the forums that sets the FROMaddress for all emails. In the mercury logs it shows that SMF is adding an < before the from email address. Can someone give me some ideas on where to look to find this. THANKS
