If you mean just the moderator group, no it doesn't change the Users Online bit because the Moderator group only applies in specific boards.

You need to assign a primary group (i.e. for all boards) to affect the Users Online area. It's not a bug, no.

edit

i already know wt u said in that board but bro don't u think that the user (mod) should feel like a spl member on the forum he wants colored name like on other forum phpbb,vb,ipb why smf if updating these things ? i'm hurt we were waiting fr RC3 very Desperately :(

why this should be included in smf because most of the popular forums out there uses VB IPB & PHPBB nd these forums do have some small same features like this one i'm asking fr :( ahh god kill me please :'(

It would help people understand your questions better if you didn't use text we can hardly read.

Arantor

I don't think you understand how it works in SMF.

A 'moderator' is only a moderator in specific boards. That doesn't make any sense while on the front page, because you're not in any boards, thus a board specific colouring doesn't apply.

Create a new group with that colour and apply that to your member. Then, if it's a board specific permission, create a new permissions profile for them.

Just because it's not immediately obvious doesn't mean it can't be done - though it was practically identical in 1.1.x.

Disappointed because it's not as easy as you first thought but still totally doable out of the box with a little more effort?

Threads are not deleted just like that, when solved. That's why the topic solved button is provided, to mark it as solved. Leaving the topic here would also help other people searching this forum with a similar problem, perhaps they can use the ideas here as well... unless you completely edit the content of your post, so that nobody can understand what the problem was, anymore... :)

Please consider letting support topics in place in the future, this forum is a support forum, and we try having it here in order to assist more than one person.

Merged the topic. Please consider not opening multiple topics, nor removing content. It is increasingly difficult to understand what is going on, this way.

@ OP: About the issue at hand, please do tell what exactly is not clear... Eventually, please note that this forum has support in many languages as well, perhaps those boards help. (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=12.0)
