can't change moderator Color in online list

hi i'm running smf RC3

and i have changed moderator color to

but when moderator come online his username is beign displayed as default please help me is this a bug in RC3 ?

If you mean just the moderator group, no it doesn't change the Users Online bit because the Moderator group only applies in specific boards.

You need to assign a primary group (i.e. for all boards) to affect the Users Online area. It's not a bug, no.

i already know wt u said in that board but bro don't u think that the user (mod) should feel like a spl member on the forum he wants colored name like on other forum phpbb,vb,ipb why smf if updating these things ? i'm hurt we were waiting fr RC3 very Desperately

why this should be included in smf because most of the popular forums out there uses VB IPB & PHPBB nd these forums do have some small same features like this one i'm asking fr ahh god kill me please

I don't think you understand how it works in SMF.

A 'moderator' is only a moderator in specific boards. That doesn't make any sense while on the front page, because you're not in any boards, thus a board specific colouring doesn't apply.

Create a new group with that colour and apply that to your member. Then, if it's a board specific permission, create a new permissions profile for them.

Just because it's not immediately obvious doesn't mean it can't be done - though it was practically identical in 1.1.x.
