Is there a mod that allows you to make a post in one topic and refer to an attachment in another topic. For example there is a most to position the attachments in a topic, but I want to make a thread that archives all the attachments in the board in one topic

Kill Em All

Sorry but I do not think this exists. Couldn't you just go to that topic and click on the attachment and link it?

Not sure I understand what you're trying to achieve here.

Kill Em All

I think everytime an attachment is uploaded a topic is updated with the name and link of that attachment, whether or not it edits a post or makes a new one I'm not sure.  This specific topic will be in each board where the attachment rests. I'm not sure if this is possible by how SMF uses its attachments.

Oh, it's going to be possible. Whether it's *efficient* is another matter.

At this stage I'm almost more curious as to why because there's almost certainly a better way of doing it.

Yea it would be highly inefficient the way I was thinking about this. Thanks for your input guys!  :)

Kill Em All

Do you need any further help with this?

I would suggest making a mod request. Just think about the idea and you might come up with something, and sleep on it before you post. This way you are sure. :)
