IPhone - Attachments-Upload - not possible?

Hello everybody.

I write only in the german board, but after I get there no answer, I would like to ask here in the English Board

A Mod from my Forum has an Iphone and cannot upload any attachments. Is these with SMF impossible?

SMF 1.1.11 is installed

You can't upload anything from your iphone, so why would you need a mod to allow you to upload stuff from your iphone?

He's got a point though.

The mobile browser used on an iPhone, i.e. Safari, does not physically allow uploading of files, and as far as I understand it, the other browsers on iPhone's don't either, meaning that a mod just isn't possible. You'd have to write a dedicated iPhone app to be able to upload files, which means you don't really need a mod for it...

Exactly, even a year later from that post, you still can't upload from your iphone, not even your ipad. However you can from an Android phone I believe and maybe windows phone 7, I could be wrong there though.
