Inside a board that has childboards in it, is there a way to remove
"Pages: [1]"
and just have the childboards?
when you click on the board?
What file should I edit ?

1.1 will do this automatically if the user has no permission to create posts and there are no posts in the parent.

However, I'll always think it's a bit strange to have a board with boards in it, but not allow posting in the parent board... just me, I guess.

Thats because I want it to be like a second forum.
I'm on 1.0.3., how can I do it on this vers.?
Thanks for the help.  ;D

EDIT: 1.1 is the BETA right? Nuts  :(

Hi, I just installed my SMF 1.03 forum and I really like it! :D

However, I have the same problem as Dreamer.

Category: Our Site

Forum: Site Maintenance
>Child Board 1: Site Graphics
>Child Board 2: Site Arrangement & Features

That's how I want the arrangement.
I don't want anyone posting under the child boards.
I want them to got into the respective child board and post there.

I went to the Admin Panel > Manage Boards...
But there's no option to restrict posting in the 'parent' forum.

(There's an option for 'allowed groups', but that deals with access, not posting)

Thanks for any help :)

I chose SMF because you get your questions answered.

Admin -> Manage Boards -> Edit permissions (for Site Maintenance)

Disallow posting, posting polls and reply for at least ungrouped members, then copy these restrictions to all the postbased groups.

I use this sulotions :

Admin -> Manage Boards -> Edit permissions (for Site Maintenance)

Disallow posting, posting polls and reply for at least ungrouped members, then copy these restrictions to all the postbased groups.

and set 0 permission for all members and groups but still inside the main board show :
"Pages: [1]"

I use smf 1.0.4
