wen i press install on my smf 1.1.11 forum. i got fatal 500 error i cant able to open my forum its always showing

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

wat should i do now ? how to rectify it plzzz anyone ?

thank u

Techie

Have you posted in the mod's support topic? That's likely a better place than here. I guess before you do that, does your error log provide any info?

There should be one you can access through your host's cPanel, or one in the root of your domaindirectory.

Can I ask who your server host is?

xenovanis

This looks more like an accesslog to me  ???
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

The only reason for my question is due to being unable to use some mods when with a particular hosting company.

Sorry to put a downer on here but the following is from another topic regarding fatcow.
Quote
FatCow is an Overseller. They offer you unlimited bandwidth (traffic) and space, such a thing DOESN'T EXIST. If it did, then people wouldn't be purchasing dedicated servers.

Here is a serious but a bit funny article on Oversellers: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=117303.0

FatCow will suspend your account before it can even reach 10% of the resources they provide. It's seriously not worth it, you can just Google Overseller hosting, if you want to read some more articles about them. They try to get clients by basically lie-ing to them and hoping that they don't use too much server resources.

I would seriously look at moving to a more reliable host.

Techie

hosting is not a prb here. its coz of this mod i think right ?

xenovanis

Can you make a connection to your site with ftp? Check in public_html or your forum directory for a file named "error_log", download it and open it. If it's not there, contact your host. 500 Internal Server Errors should be entered in an errorlog.

The problem was that you installed the wrong version of AJAX Chat the "AjaxChat_Integration_3.2.1_RC3_Curve_Friendly.zip" is for RC3 hence the Curve Friendly

This is the one you want "AjaxChat Integration_3.2.1.zip"
