Hi there,

My forum is running RC3 and i have a problem when i click quote reply in big posts in IE..
when i am going to write in the reply (that has the big quote text) it doesn't let me see what i write...it automatically goes at the top of the post...(it's like you do scroll up with mouse wheel)..

I can't think of anything that could influence this function...

I don't get this problem in IE8. What version of IE are you using?

What theme are you using and what mods do you have installed?

Have you tried compatibility mode? There is a bug with IE8 in that it can do weird things in a textarea.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

In compatibility mode it works fine!!!

In that case, your probably gonna have to just have to use compatibility mode all the time.

Yep, it's a Microsoft problem. You can force compatibly mode by adding the following to the <head> area in index.template.php of the theme you are using.

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.
