Hello all. I'm having a major problem here.

I downloaded lots of packages from your website, extracted them and uploaded them to my hosting. I've made sure many files have CHMOD 777 permissions, as well as many folders etc - so basically, that's not the problem for sure. But to get to the point here, my problem is - none of these modifications work! I've made sure they are compatible with my SMF version (2.0.4 RC4) and whatever template I use, none of them works...  Although, to get back to CHMOD, I did not CHMOD all files & folders in Template section.. But since I added 20 of them (yeah, I know, stupid, I plan to remove them soon enough and keep only couple of them), it would take AGES to CHMOD all files (6k+ files)... Should I just CHMOD Theme's which I plan to use and all files in them? Or CHMOD'ing the main folder is enough?

Any help here? Am I doing something wrong, lol? Download, extract, upload & install. That's how it used to be few years ago when I used SMF 1.x.

If someone would like to help me out by replying here, I'd appreciate it, and if you need more details, please let me know.
I moved to SMF because phpBB3 is a true pain in the ass with it's autoMOD s*it and now I get same problem here. I've been into forums business for years now, but I'm still lazy manually editing files and stuff... But that's not the point of my thread, sorry for going off topic :)

Thanks in advance.

Any insight as to what you mean by that?

One thing that MIGHT help, is for you to create a directory, inside your "Packages" one, named "temp".

Make sure that's read/write-enabled.

Also, mass-CHMODdding is dead easy.

Go to Packages>Options>File permissions and do it from there. :)
