I just wanted to add that Coppermine integration seems to work perfectly with 1.1 Beta 3 Public release.
My site uses that feature and has had no problems. Thanks :)

Well, I like but do not understand why all my templates do not work anymore.  Only the SMF classic...the rest come out all white.  Also, I can no longer use my image shack mod because there is an error and it cannot write to the post templates.......

Other than that, thank you....all is good~

Theme authors will have to modify their themes to be compatible with SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public.

all my themes worked fine. the installation was fast, since instead of unzipping and then uploading i just sent the tar.gz directly to the server which could unzip it. I think all CPanel servers can do that, and many  others too. Sweet! Thanks a lot guys!

Hi

Where in CPanel did you manage to unstuff the file? Would you mind explaining abit more? Thanks.

This would be useful as my FTP sometimes disconnects when lots of files are being uploaded.

the update went smooth.

tip to others: de-install the BAnners mod or it puts you back some minutes to edit php files :-)))

i dig the new possibilites in beta 1.1

my question: will the template change to the final?

I installed the upgrade and everything went fine. Had it up for a while, added posts, logged in and out without any problems. I shut down my browser when I went to lunch. Came back and I could get to the main page for the forums, but whenever I tried to log in or click on a particular board, I got a generic 500 Internal Server Error message. I re-uploaded the upgrade pieces, ran the upgrade again, and now it seems to be working again. Seen this before? Is there more info I can provide to help?

My users are still saying they are getting the error:
"you have already submitted this post..."
They use only one browser when they get this error..

Tell them to clear their cache.

now its my turn to get it a lot. i've cleared the cache. i use one firefox window (one tab) and im getting it like crazy. about every 3-4 post i do i get that message. this is using the quick response and using the normal reply. i even get it when i try to send a pm to someone..

If you are using the coppermine bridge, you will probably need to change this line in /bridge/smf.inc.php

cm_include_smf_funcs("$sourcedir/Load.php", array("reloadSettings", "md5_hmac", "loadUserSettings"));

to

cm_include_smf_funcs("$sourcedir/Load.php", array("reloadSettings", "md5_hmac", "loadUserSettings", "cache_get_data"));

This works on a limited basis.  You can go into the gallery to view the pictures, even start browsing them.  Eventually you run into this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: cache_put_data() in /home/carmmcom/public_html/cpg/bridge/smf.inc.php(125) : eval()'d code on line 32

Any idea how to fix this?

Well, 500 Internal Server Errors come from Apache.  Do you have any way of seeing an error log?  (this sort of log would also show 404s, etc.)

Are you using any modifications whatsoever - theme or otherwise?  Have you updated your themes?  Does this happen with an untouched default theme?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: cache_put_data() in /home/carmmcom/public_html/cpg/bridge/smf.inc.php(125) : eval()'d code on line 32

Find:

cm_include_smf_funcs("$sourcedir/Load.php", array("reloadSettings", "md5_hmac", "loadUserSettings"));

Or:

cm_include_smf_funcs("$sourcedir/Load.php", array("reloadSettings", "md5_hmac", "loadUserSettings", "cache_get_data"));

And replace either with:

cm_include_smf_funcs($sourcedir . '/Load.php', array('reloadSettings', 'loadUserSettings', 'cache_get_data', 'cache_put_data'));

This will *ONLY* work if you're using a version of PHP 4.3.0 or above.  Older versions will get an error about sha1() not existing.

I don't know.  You'll have to look in its topic, which can be found in Mods and Packages.

Quote2: Themes Where are the themes?

Graphics and Templates.

Like I said, things seem to be working ok after going through the upgrade a 2nd time.

On second glance, I don't think these error messages are related to the issue I described. I think this is during the time that I was performing the upgrade and ssi.php wasn't available.

Sig

Since upgrading to 1.1 beta 3 I've noticed that I have issue logging in and get randomly logged out when using firefox.

Everything seems fine in IE.

I get the error:

An Error Has Occurred!
You were unable to login. Please check your cookie settings.

However, my cookie settings are fine and have not changed

I got a similar error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: db_affected_rows() in /home/carmmcom/public_html/cpg/bridge/smf.inc.php(125) : eval()'d code on line 42

I thought everything was fine because I was able to get through 6 images, and then going back to the album list I get that error.

I cleared the cache and it didn't seem to fix it. However, when i cleared all cookies it works. Any known reason why the cookies get messed up from 1.0.5 to 1.1 that would make I.E. work fine and not firefox?  ???
