My aim does does not fit in the field and is kinda annoying that I can not display it.

It is like this: (not actual not exact length and format...

which version of smf are you running? which theme are you running? with these answers I bet someone will easily be able to tell you what to change to make the field longer.

I don't have AIM, but I just edited my profile and put in a bunch of a's. My profile saved with only 16 a's in the AIM field, even though I put in 85 of them. Looks like the field is limited to 16 characters. Seems like this is not really relevant to this board, but relevant likely to Feedback or something.

does anyone know if there is a limit of chars for an aim login/username? i am talking about the limit when you register for a username to use for chatting not the limit that mashby is talking about above.

If you look at my aim field now on postview you can see it cuts it off at the "."
unless an extension like com or net is not allowed then it needs to be bigger.

can anyone confirm this issue occurs on any rc5 install other then this one? i cant duplicate this on my upgrade test install from 1.1.12 to RC5 or a clean install of RC5.

It must be just how this site is set up and that is all i am saying. I guess i kinda posted in wrong section because I just want it changed on this site..

On AIM registration it is 45 char limit

This site is basically a lightly modified SMF 2.0 RC5, and it would need to be modified on a base install...
