Hello! When I try to access my SMF, then I got this Database Error:

Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_acd_0.MYI' (Errcode: 13)
File: /home/crazymania/public_html/SMF/Sources/BoardIndex.php
Line: 82

How can this be fixed?

Is this a new install on a new server?

Are you running your own server and do you have root SSH access?

Do you have selinux enabled?

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum files are currently at version SMF 1.0.5, whereas your database is at version SMF 1.0.2. It is recommended that you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

That's the same sort of error, I'm afraid.  Technically, -1 means "unknown error" but it's usually /tmp being full or not writable.

so does that mean that it will clear itself or i have to ammend things?
sorry to keep on...just want to be clear on learning curve! so to speak

Tony Reid

Once your host amends the permissions on the /tmp directory everything should be ok - nothing is needed on your part ;)

Its a server issue :)

That's not a problem at all, the database error just has it worried.  Don't worry about it.

If you want it to go away, use the upgrade zip file from the downloads page and run upgrade.php.
