I finally upgraded from 1.X to 2.0.

Now the member list is blank. That's not a big deal as I have removed several hundred posts and about all the members, but why am "I" not showing up? I have two admin accounts just in case one gets screwed up and neither one of them are showing up.

Do you recon I need to go back to 1.1.14 and start all over?

Illori

can you check your error log and your server error log for any related messages?

All I see is a "Ban Log" Task Log" and Log Pruning".

Where is the error log in this thing?

admin -> security and moderation enable error logging check and see if you start getting errors in the logs

ML

OK. I checked the box.

To be clear: When I click on the member tab at the top, nothing showed up until I searched for my second ID. Then the three remaining showed up as well. (Like I said, I removed most of them and a great many posts as the board is going i na new direction).

In the admin panel under members, nothing is showing up.

Everything was fine with 1.4. I made a copy of the directory as well as a copy of the database. Can I put this back on the server and start all over?

These are the only errors that my site is reporting. I don't think they have anything to do with the board.

and nothing in the smf error log?

ML

The error log was turned off. I had asked a while back about it as every time I checked it the thing was 20 or more pages long from bots running around.

I was told it was OK to turn it off.

Illori

well in this case without the error log being on we can not tell what the issue is as we have no logs to examine.

ML

OK. I will try to get it back to 1.4

Illori

that is not what i said to do, i just want the error log enabled

ML

Yes I know. I turned it on but there isn't anything in it as it was turned off in 1.4.

Illori

that is fine you have to actually do the action that caused the issue or wait for people to start doing things for it to populate with errors

ML

Just to see if it would, I tried to register a new membership. This is what popped up.

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/micklail/public_html/random/Sources/Subs-Members.php on line 623

can you attach your subs_members.php to your next post?

ML

Why is it saying "Software Version:  SMF 1.1.14"?

Those who say that something cannot be done should get out of the way of those who are willing to try.

Illori

because it is from a 1.1.14 install and not 2.0 and did not get corrected overwritten when you did the upgrade.

ML

Anything I can do to fix it?

check in your admin panel [main page] on the more detailed link and see what other outdated files you have, and replace them with files from the 2.0.1 large upgrade package.

make sure you click on the Sources link on that page to expand it.

I uploaded the members file and that seems to have taken care of that.

How do I know if a file is outdated without opening every one of them up? Even the 1.14 members file that I just replaced had the same date as the rest of the upgrade.

I appreciate your help.
