Link to Mod

This is a very simple mod package to allow stock charts to be embedded in your posts via BBC.  Once installed, the following codes will return charts from the following sites:

6-month Daily Chart by profitspi.com
[schart]TICKER[/schart]

10-day Intraday Chart by marketwatch.com
[ischart]TICKER[/ischart]

Interactive Flash-based chart (slower loading, one per topic) by wikinvest.com
[wschart]TICKER[/wschart]

Example:
[schart]GOOG[/schart] - 6-month chart for Google

Obviously, the credit for the charts go to their respective owners.  This mod just makes it easier to embed the charts on your site rather than having to recreate the chart and settings each time to embed as an image.

cool,i need this on my site is there an updated version so i can pull charts from any place and any time frame.to be realistic if it cant preform what im asking for, theres a chance that this mod is useless,im just giving info in this kind of thing,im not disrespecting anything.just letting it be know that what im asking is whats required for this industry.

Hi, if you open up the .xml file in the mod and search for "stock", you'll find the html link it uses.  You can replace this with the link to a chart you configure differently.  I just happened to use a certain time frame.

man that would suck if i posted more than one chart in 10 minutes from my trading platform.this mod needs to be  in real time kind of situation, like a BB code or something...or maybe i dont understand what you are saying?

krash661

is there like a pic or a demo or something so i can see it,that might help me understand more.

pftq

It does use bbcode.  I thought you were asking if you could change the time frame of the chart, which you could do so as stated previously.

Maybe it would help if you gave me an example of what exactly you wish to do, as I'm not understanding your issue here.

Version 2 (Jan.2 2012)

for SMF Forums 2.0.x

Just tried it on a fresh install with no problems.

Do you have other mods installed? It might be a conflict on the installation (trying to add to the same place).  Let me know what mods also modify subs (in particular, add bbc), and I can adjust the install to not conflict.
