Address change

I am not sure if this is the right area for this.  If not, sorry.

When I first started my forum my Ip address was from north america which is right.  But now it has changed and it says I'm from RIPE the europe/mid east area.  How did this happen?  Is it something that could of happened from my web forum?

depending on where your server is located at, depends on if your ip is from

AfriNIC
APNIC
ARIN
LACNIC
RIPE

It was ARIN which is right.  I live in Pennsylvania.  Now it is RIPE why would it change?

who is your server  .... That would be something that i would be asking my hosting server, but maybe your server is overseas.

Godaddy is the host of my site.  Is that what you mean?  Sorry I don't know all of the terms, i'm pretty new to this.

Im with Godaddy also .... i would call godaddy and ask them why you are considered overseas since they are in arizona ( I Think )

OP I would suggest you use the search and look up Godaddy.

do you mean your personal IP address or the IP address of your server? if your personal IP address changed then you should contact your ISP not your host.

I guess it is my personal.  It is the same one that shows up in my posts on this forum.  Is this something bad?

that is the ip addy of your isp ( personal address from your home, dsl ect ) i wouldnt really worry about it but ... it really dont make much since of why their dhcp server gave you an overseas ip address. I know many isp's are running out of V4 and is now going to v6 , but never heard of going to overseas ip blocks.
