cannot get into any boards to modify add permissions aaargh!

I am having a load of problems since I added a child board it told me that there was no parent board, and it prompted me to go to the fix and repair errors, which I duly did.


It then made a salvage board with all the other boards attched to it, but now I cannot get into any boards whatsover it jkeeps prompting me to go to "Fix and Repair"


This is an nightmare now... using 2.0.2


How can I fix?

I mean as an administrator K@


It looks Ok to anyone browsing but there is a board missing and it is now a salvage board with permissions set for admin only


Looks like I`ll have to delete it from the database try to set things right again but it is annoying getting these "fix and repair Errors" messages coming up then going there only to find " Congratulations no errors found" 


If I drop the boards and related child boards from the database will it affect the whole forum?

I would think not. However, if you backup, first, it won't matter if it screws, coz you can restore.

Yeah, it sure is weird.

Just a thought, here... Have you tried repairing the database from CPanel, rather than from within SMF?

I was just thinking .... here is a screenshot of the boards table





The Red Highlighted "Salvaged Topics" is the one that SMF has created after doing a "Find & fix errors"


The Two in Blue "German & UK rail Networks" were the original child-boards of the main board " Projects" now these appear to be orphaned from their parent board on the database, But are actually sitting in the "Salvaged Topics" on the Forum


Thr Yellow one highlighted was the one I was adding when it all went horribly wrong!


I thought of renaming Salvaged Topics back to projects But I cannot access anything to do with board administration at the moment!


Any thoughts about re- numbering the structure back ?

Ok after some manipulation with the database with the board Ids and child ids I have it fixed now .... I
