Phpbbfm -> SMF (has anyone successfully done it?)

I have a PHPBBFM Board that is waaaaay too slow for some members on dialup.  I have been trying the phpbb -> SMF converter with limited success.   I get all the members ported across fine, the only thing is, I only get 1 forum section to port across.  I have around 10 forums (no subforums) 

Has anyone succesfully moved from phpbbfm to SMF?       If so, any tips on how to do it?

I would really like to use this software instead of horrible phpbbfm

Do you get any database error messages during conversion? If you can give us a database dump, we can take a look and modify the converter as needed to make it work.

I have converted from phpBBfm, I didn't have any troubles except with smilies and the converter didn't recognize the attachments mod was installed.

Im Converting to V1.0.5 (latest one for download)
I don`t get any errors, and the whole thing goes through as normal.

I took a look at your SQL file and don't see anything that would cause any problems. Try running the converter again and see if it works.

Please try:

Admin -> Forum Maintenance -> Find and repair any forum errors.
Admin -> Forum Maintenance -> Recount all forum totals and statistics.

And then check the board permissions in Admin -> Manage Boards.  It looks to me like the posts are all there.

The posts are there alright,  But hidden.   
I did what you said, but the posts came back all over the place, (salvaged) none of the original forums/boards were present.

Sounds like the conversion had problems with the boards, then... interesting.

I'm sorry to ask this, but the 1.1 converter is VASTLY improved in debugging capabilities.  Would it be possible (even if this is not the intended destination) to install a temporary version of SMF 1.1 and try that converter?  You can find the converter in a sticky in this board.

I guess it lets you change board's ids to change sort?  Can you change it so none of them are negative?

Is this the part that is causing the trouble?  Those arent forums at all, im not sure where the settings are for them really.

Im still on the 1.1 and I got 1 step further.    All the forums and catagories have appeared,  I don`t see any avatars though .

It all worked out fine in the end.  the last error message i got made no difference.  Its all working now
