Just started my new forum about 36 hours ago.

It's for the discussion of Feng Shui, birthchart analysis, divination, pugilistic arts, meditation, life improvements, etc...

Hope to hear some comments and feedback.

Many thanks for your feedback. I am thinking of switching all buttons to red against the green theme. But I thought I'll wait for SMF to move out of beta, upgrade it and then go through all the graphics and buttons and change them. Or is it 'safe' to change them now?

Practically feng shui has to be done on location of the land/property. The forum is mainly a good place to discuss feng shui methods. But birthchart analysis can be done just by birthdate & time, so members can still remain anonymous  while discussing personal matters. That's the wonder of the internet and forums.

Anyway, I'm from S'pore too  Surprised to see a local forum with such theme. I'm personally not very excited about giving birth details online (or howsoever!) cos' there's not real anonymity on the Internet  and basically I have no idea when I was born cos my mum kept telling me different times and I have no idea where she kept my birth cert! Hahaha..

I thought 1.0 was the official release? I could be wrong, but the version that they're on now is a beta of another updated version. So, technically it's out of beta.

Thanks for the assurance. I do feel the 1.1beta3public used on my forum is very satisfying and stable -- so far so good. I shall start looking into some graphic changes. Any suggestion is most welcomed.

I like the ability to switch graphic-button links to text-link; one of my members is using dialup and finds the pages really load faster -- I had also removed most background graphics.

Well, feng shui is about our living space (eg. home, office). As for your website, you can use colors that are favourable according to your birthchart. I use green and red on fivearts.net as 'wood' and 'fire' is favourable for me.  Of course I still have to work hard on putting more content in my website.

In this case, whenever you want some answer to specific questions, you can try divination which does not require birth details... maybe you might want to try asking "Where is my birth cert?"  , and pick a number from 1 to 12 (that's the method I use).

Here's an idea... If you can collect enough information about a user to build a birth chart you could change to a feng shui color scheme dynamically for that specific user. Ahhhhhh

Nice board, im the webmaster for a college here in scotland we offer alot of Alternative Therapies, aswell as diplomas in areas such as divinataion etc great choice of colours,  have you ever looked into Colour Therapy?

Glad that you like the board and colours.

It is interesting and good to know that there are diplomas for divination. I have no experience in Colour Therapy. Is it like "pink is calming for hyperactive children" kind of therapy? Someone had related the red-links in my forum to "heat and arguement" but I think there is so little of red in the forum which hopefully will not 'inspire' flaming or arguments.  I knew another forum which is basically red to pink theme and often there are very heated flaming going on there.
