Calender question

Hello all
This is my first post on here after reading the online manual and also testing the calender on my Forum for the past week.
So here is my question: I want to be able to add an event to my forum calender and then 7 days prior to the event for it to put up a post in a certain thread advertising the event, is this possible and if so how? I have tried loads of different combinations in the calender settings but it still posts the event straight away ?

Any help would be great

This should be relatively identical to what you're looking for, as it basically does the function you're requiring. Hope it helps!
