Current SMF version: SMF 2.0.2

I use SMF 2.0.1 and i have a big problem i can't upload a package for icons on board ... because i don't find the  Upload Package ...i finded in Main but isn't there ....

I don't find this plz help me !

Are you saying after you installed your package it isn't showing? Did you run into any errors in your installation? Also what was the exact MOD you installed?

Have you ever installed anything before, using Admin > Main > Package Manager ?

If so, can you remember what package you installed last?


(PS, you might have had more responses with a slightly better topic title, like "Unable to see Package Manager in Admin menu"  )

No i wasn't uploaded anything yesterday i was want to upload a mod for boards icon but when i search the Package manager i don't find it !

AND NOW i search the option " unsee the Package manager " but isn't !!!

Are you on one of the free SMF hosting sites by chance?  Many of those restrict access and use of many admin functions including the package manager.

How did you install smf, who is your host, and can you post a link to your forum please.

if you have a full install of smf (i.e. not on one of the free sites) then go to
SMF Admin > Main > Package Manager

I am afraid SMF NEW does have restrictions on the package manager.

I suspected that was the issue. To get a modification installed, you will have to ask in the smfnew support forum. http://www.support.smfnew.com/

What Colin's saying, is that your {free} host doesn't want you adding things, so you won't see the package manager option.

did you not READ the previous statements.

1- SMFNEW does not allow sites to have access to the package manager
2- SMFNEW has **NOTHING** at all to do with us here. We are the creators of Simple Machines Forum software. We do not provide hosting or support those sites who provide hosting.
3- If you want a fully featured SMF installation, then get your own domain and your own host - and install a fully functioning SMF  there.

naGawOw, that is the default message from SMF. Obviously SMFNEW has not changed the default message... they HAVE, however, removed access to the package manager.   One last time - on SMFNEW, YOU CAN NOT USE THE PACKAGE MANAGER.
