How do I make my forum viewable by the general public. But still require people to register and log in to add stuff.
At the moment the forum is only viewable to people who create an account. What changes do I need to make to the permissions?
Thanks in advance.

I think it's

Admin > Features Options > General: Then check allow guest to browse forum

I just tried that, now one of my many forum boards are visible to people who have not logged in. This is an improvement. Now It seems I need to make the right adjustment in each of the remaining hidden boards.
I assume I go to:
Admin > Features Options >Forum>Boards...>Modify Boards> permissions
in the permissions, I do not see anything different from the one board that is visible and the ones that are not visible. OK what additional advice is out there? :)

Bummer, I just tried mine and you're right. If I remember correctly I had the problem AFTER login for regular members near the first of the year, once they logged in they couldn't see the boards.

I have guest, regular members & member checked for every board. I don't know why member is checked when regular member is check but I'm not changing it.

Modify each individual board and uncheck the box next to guests for the the one you do not want them to see.

I got it working now!
Admin > Features Options >Forum>Boards...>Modify Boards>
not "permissions"
it's "modify"
Allowed Groups:
"Check all"
then hit the button "Modify"
Thanks! :)
