When will the full version be released? I am on 1.0.1 still. Would you recommend that I go up to 1.1 now anyway? Was there much improvements going to 1.0.5?

Security and major bugfixes went into 1.0.5, as with every minor release.  You can see the release announcements in this board for more detail.

I strongly suggest you update to at least 1.0.5 (1.1 Beta 3 Public is newer but less stable.)

That's not a bug...what error are you getting?

It doesn't give me an error, although twice it said there was. The site cannot be accessed.

Most of the time it says sometimes like "database down due to server or capacity problems" Then sometimes I can just refresh and it'll say somthing is wrong with the theme and that i can select the default.

I think it's theme issues. Even though the theme works sometimes. I have 5 sites running on 5 different domains/DBs and a fresh install of 1.1b3. Three of them keep messing up and I have to reinstall. It only does it when I change the theme to something other than default. Alotta times it'll  be working and I won't even touch it. get up teh next day and visit the site and it'll be down.

Even on creating a theme through the site, or another that works with 1.1b3.

I'll try to get the proper information for you. However it never gives me and error message directing to a file and line of code..

I have also contacted my webhost to see if there are problems on thier end.

Yeah, I'm curious when the finalized version will be up, also. I've just gotten all the bugs worked out for my forum with the old 1.0.5 version, and I'd prefer to wait until this gets the final kinks out before I have to deal with a new can of worms...

I really doubt there will EVER be a "final" version, as that implies that there will be no more releases.  The nature of an open-source project is that there is always someone working on it to improve or add something.

Also, the team is constantly telling people not to ask when a release might be out.  It'll be out when it's out.  Don't bug them.  Remember that these people are doing this in their spare time - they aren't getting paid to listen to people whine at them ... at least tech support people in an office get some compensation for their trouble.  Give these guys a break and quit hounding them about the next release or the next feature or the next whatever.  Take it as it comes and be happy that they are producing the best forum software on the market ... FOR FREE.

For others, you are not going to get any release dates because no-one knows them. This has been said thousand times, it will be released when its ready. When it will be like that, we just dont know that. Try to live with that, please.

I had a similar issue and it turned out it was template related ... i.e. I could see the attachments as they were supposed to be ONLY when I was using the default template.  Since that was the only trouble I had, I haven't ditched my template, but I'm eagerly awaiting the official 1.1 version of it

So ... if you have been using a template, try viewing your forum with the default template ... check out your attachments.  If they look normal, then it's probably the theme you were using.

Yeahhh thats true. I use 7Dana but they release a compatible version so everything looks perfect now.

The only problem is with the Albanian language. Man the translation are pain in the a**

So i have to take the new english language and start all over agin. Buhhhhh I'm never gona fisnish

How about installing the board notes mod. Then state at the top of this thread "1.1 will be out when it's ready. No Release date availiable at this time"

That might stop maybe half of the repeated questions.

Ok, I finally got around to putting the test site back together. I get two e-mails from my webhost saying I got a DB error. When I check my error log on the site, all I get is this:

How does one forum error, cause 2 DB errors? I'm a dummy with this kinda stuff, so forgive me if I don't make sense. I gave you all the info I could get on the error.

Maybe I should take a look into the package that was installed.

That error is caused by a bug in a mod.

The email you are getting is because your database server is either going down, or you are getting too many visitors for your server.  You'll have to contact your host.  It has nothing to do with that error, and it is not preventable.  When you get the email, a user sees an error message, saying a connection to the database could not be made.

I can upload the package i want...but when i try to install it , it starts downloading the package again ....
