I installed two different facebook aps, an old one that did not work long ago and I got errors when trying to uninstall it. Well today I tried to install the new one and it crashed my site. They both try to define the class FacebookApiException. How can I get in and fix it since it won't let me in admin?

also... for problems with specific mods, you really need to go to the support topic for that mod.

You tried to restore files using the install archive rather than the "large upgrade" archve, didn't you?

-- do you have a settings_bak.php file?
If so, then copy that as Settings.php

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

When a mod install or uninstall fails, you need to look at the "Parse" instructions and manually back out all the code they added. Never simply go and do another install (even of a different version), because you'll have crud left over from the first install/remove attempt.

Always pay attention to failures reported during the "test" portion of the install/uninstall, and don't proceed with an install (or uninstall) unless you are willing to follow the Parse instructions to manually edit failed files.
