Little Mermaid

A former colleague made my forum and I can no longer get in touch with him. I know nothing about how to access this site. Just before this happened I was trying to change my email address in the admin area. Since then I can't access my site at all. I am totally in the dark about this. Is there any way I can get my forum back? I've had it for years. Thanks!

You will need to be able to access the site with FTP and possibly direct database access to correct the issue.

I have no skills at all in this area. How do you access those areas?

Well, first, you'd need to have the information to connect. Is this your hosting space or someone else's?

Your host is godaddy, so WHOIS says :P

As such, this information could be handy to you:
http://support.godaddy.com/groups/domains-management-and-services/forum/topic/how-to-access-cpanel/
Specifically (because you are probably on a shared hosting:
http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/4192/welcome-to-your-hosting-control-center

(please note that I know NOTHING about godaddy, just reading the internet)

If/when you can access your control center (be advised that you will need a username/password you probably don't have...), you should find inside some information about databases and database users. Make sure that the information you see there fits Settings.php in SMF's folder. You should also have some File Manager. Or use FTP.
How do I use FTP? / What is FTP?

You're up for a hard task. You should know that your problems are probably unrelated to SMF. We might help you to a certain point but you need some passwords to administer your webspace and you HAVE to use some tools you have never seen...
