Improve forum velocity

Good afternoon everybody.
Currently, I have problems with my forum velocity, always that much users (around 10 users) use the forum, it is slower.

I think that the server be not the problem, why he supports a forum with 1000 users online.

I seen the logs in errors pannel and nothing show for me the problem.

Someone have some idea for repair this?

Who is your host?

If your forum works fine when there are few users online, it should work the same way when there are more. But in this case, the resources demand to the server increases and he may or may not be able to keep up.
10 users online is really a small, small amount.

I am sharing the host with other forum that have average around 1000 users online and that works fine. I think that the problem be in my forum.

So, i am thinking in buy a new server to my forum.

• UNLIMITED Disk Space
• UNLIMITED Bandwidth
• FREE Private SSL & IP
• FREE Toll Free Number

This support a forum with around 30 member actives?
The servers Hostgator are good?

None in particular, I don't host anything for some time now :-)
Basically, anyone who offers reasonable LIMITED resources for a reasonable price.

Yeahhh don't go HostGator or anything offering unlimited diskspace or ridiculous amounts of storage for a insane low price. (Eg 300GB storage - $4 a month!)

I have a question still about the velocity. This can been caused for a error in SQL?
If yes, how I can repair this?

One thing you can attempt is to disable the mods which use AJAX.  Some times, these can cause much more use on the server than you expect.  Although it would be very surprising for this to cause such slowdown with only 10 users, I have heard of cases where multiple AJAX mods running at the same time started to interfere with each other, generating many, many, many extra http requests.

Please give it a try and see what you can find out.

Core did ask you for the debug log a while ago, could you provide it ? it might give us some hints.

It could be any of the Chat mods, do you have any shoutbox enabled site-wide ?
