Hello,
I tryed changing my directory from index.php
using Reapir_setting.php and i completely messed it up i cannot access the forums at all now
and now im getting this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function loadLayout() in /customers/1/e/a/int-community.com/httpd.www/Sources/DreamPortal.php on line 225

margarett

You need to explain a bit more...

Your forum was in a sub-folder and you moved ALL files to the root, now you can't access it?
Did you correct the paths and save changes in repair_settings? Did you move all files (maybe you missed something?)

edit: check my PM.
You have an error in some of your directories. In some there is a "//". Please use the suggested values and save settings.

Yeh i save in repair changes this is what i did

Downloaded And run Repair-setting.php
Changed to all recommended settings to make a sub folder
and then got errors started looking into it and got really confused with it all
i go to my backups and sayign forbidden cant view this file
so i deleted the subfolder and still have the files on root
i don't know im a lost soul at the moment

margarett

So you want to move the forum to a sub-folder, is that it?
And now, it's still at the root, also right?

Just another question: does your domain include "www." or not?

Have a read over this to make sure you've done it all correctly first, What is repair_settings.php?

margarett

This is being worked on by PM. Login details, etc etc. The issue is beyond repair_settings alone...

margarett

@Cyberhost, while your will to help is valuable, please stop with such useless posts...

It should be quite clear that you totally missed the bullseye...

repair_settings doesn't change paths from database.

margarett

Yes it does. And DreamPortal's paths inside SMF are relative paths to $boarddir. This discussion goes nowhere, sorry...

it didn't change for me

Arantor

It doesn't change all theme paths, only the default one (unless it was changed when I wasn't looking, for years it wouldn't change all the other theme paths, I assume that hasn't changed)

margarett

Actually now it does. The version the member is using gets all themes and offers to correct the paths.

But, let me insist, that's totally irrelevant. A wrong themes folder would not cause this error. In fact, none of the paths stored in smf_settings does (smileys, avatars, attachments)

When did that happen? I knew I was out of the loop on repair_settings (seen a lot of discussion, been too busy with other stuff to really dive in) but wow, that's a nice improvement if it works properly.

As far as the error, it sounds like either $sourcedir or $boarddir are misdefined (or missing) but I would expect a different error (like a file missing error before we got to a missing function error)
