daily notifications appear blank

If I select "daily notifications", the emails I get appear blank. On closer look at the "message source", they are multipart, the text/plain section has the correct notifications, but the text/html section is blank. Those of us with html aware mail readers see a blank email.

SMF 2.0.4, default config on GoDaddy, except for "SMF Notify Group" package, v2.2.
