Is there an addon/mod for smf that gives the same features as the mod download section?

I need to allow plugin devs to add their plugins for a project I'm working on, I've been looking through the mod's section but I'm not finding anything like it.

No, it was custom written for this site. There are no plans to make it available any time soon.

However, you might find Aeva Media will accomplish largely the same thing; it is quite capable of handling non-image downloads, heck I built a mod site around it years ago.

you should consider selling it as an addon.

We would have to totally rewrite it to make it suitable for other sites, to be honest. Isn't going to happen any time soon.

what download mod are you talking about? does it let other members add the downloads?

There are several download mods already available for SMF in the mods section. Some have more or less features than others. Aeva Media (as mentioned by both of us) is quite capable of doing this.
