Is it possible to have user accounts that I change to inactive become hidden/disabled so their profile isn't able to be viewed by members because the account is "inactive". Thanks!

There's no built in way to do this, nor any particularly easy way in the code to do so.

I'm curious as to what benefit this will achieve given what information is available in the profile generally.

In a social profile aspect using the Utimate Profile mod, people tend to put a lot of personal information in those fields. So say that user forgets about the account and it still has all that personal information available on that profile, they don't monitor it and it's forgotten. If I can disable viewing of the profile because they're inactive, then it's less information left viewable on the website. Forum posts and replies would stay of course. Just looking out for the users privacy.

I thought there was a way to go into a member's profile and disable their ultimate profile info, so it just shows as a normal profile to anyone else. Not 100% sure about that, but I do know that an admin can set the member's ultimate profile page to be visible just to those on their buddies list.

At least that way anyone else that wasn't on the member's buddy list would just see the regular default profile and not the ultimate one.

br360, That would not really help the OP, since he would be looking for a way to do this programmatically... not have to modify each user individually...
