A mod that gives 1 member or more only the rights to change accounts only.
Without giving that person administrator rights.

At his moment only forum administrators are able to change a member's account.
Global Moderators are not able to change a forummembers account imo ?!

I am looking for this Simple Boards program mod, but if any one knows already where to find it, i would be very happy.

if you let (admin->permissions->gmods) them, gmods can change member accounts.
but any other one cant.
maybe you should give a try to "member spesific permissions" mod ? ;)
it should be in the mods section

or another way,
create a regular group (just like gmods) and set the permission of this group like the standard members but only with a difference = letting them to change other members' accounts. (admin->permissions->new group->Edit account settings)
and put the member into that newly created regular group...

here you go.. :) now you have a member just as standard as the others, but one difference, he/she can edit others' accounts

tried 1 & 3 : let's you edit account settings: yes, but not the groupmembership part  :(

go find the mod now.

Allow permissions from the "Member administration" group. Only allow what you want them to be able to do. For my GMods I have allowed all except for "manage permissions".
"Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

to let them control the membergroups too, do this:
admin->membergroups->settings-> Select permissions for each group

now choose your newly edited group. but i am afraid then they will be able to control their group also.. :o
hope this will be fixed in 1.1 final

Yes, they will be able to edit their own group. If you don't want them to do that, then don't give them permission to manage membergroups.
