Hi together,

this is my first post here - I already searched all of the forums but did not find any answers to my problem. I want to convert an existing Phorum 5.1 to a brandnew installed SMF. The database of phorum is no. 1, followed by some other db´s for wiki and picture-gallery. Now SMF´s database is no. 5. When i start the converter i get the message, that no phorum-installation is found in database #4 ("Table phorum_users' doesn't exist"). There is no option to give the converter the correct database where to search. Is there a way to do this manually? And an installation of SMF in database #2 (to look automatically in #1) is no option for me  ;)

Thanks in advance and regards!

Hi and welcome ;)

The converter looks for the database information in your Phorum folder (but this is true for any other supported software by our converters), in a known file that holds that information. Specifically for Phorum, "/include/db/config.php"
So you give the converter the server path to your Phorum setup and it will get that file and retrieve the database information from that.

So please make sure you are giving the converter the correct path to your setup ;)

Hi Margarett and thanks for both - the friendly "welcome" and the answer, which was also the solution! I typed in the complete path to this config.php, and the converter-script continued... Not really because of "open_basedir"-serversetting, but this is another story  ;)
