How do I add this code in Apache? (I got VPS hosting)

<IfModule mpm_worker_module>
    ServerLimit          40
    StartServers          2
    MaxClients          1000
    MinSpareThreads      25
    MaxSpareThreads      75
    ThreadsPerChild      25
    MaxRequestsPerChild   0
</IfModule>

This is an example code, but I want to change the server limit and other numbers in the above code. I don't understand WHERE do I past the code in?!

Any help or guidance on this issue would he great!

if you dont know where, then you should not be running your own VPS. you should have a managed hosting package and your host should do the work for you.

Illori I have experience with web-hosting but I have never needed to change or tweak anything in Apache. I have been running a VPS for over a year now.... I know how tweaking the Apache numbers work and what they mean, I just don't know how or where to access this stuff. Plus shared hosting sucks when you get popular.

It's a bit like me finding the right files to edit the SMF forum CMS and have it work the way intend to use it... I knew how to edit the files but it was the case of learning the location and file structure of SMF.

Throw me a bone here bro.

While I agree with Illori's concerns, it's your choice to do it so here goes nothing :P

Google yelds some interesting results

Thank you margarett, as always it's always a pleasure being enlightened by you. You know, I am becoming a genuine fan now. You've helped me out on quite a occasions. For this, I really thank you it means a lot to me. If it wasn't for Devs such as yourself and other community members... I would have switched to phpBB long ago.

I appreciate your concerns Devs but honestly, you guys worry too much. We're in the year where almost everything has either an "undo" or "reset" button thesedays. Even my kettle has a reset button...  :laugh: it's like... we've all finally come to terms with that 99.9% of mankind are stupid. :-[
