Hi,

I am setting up a forum for parents and students for our co-op.  Many of the users will be kids and in many cases do not have email addresses.  However, it's still important that they have individual logins so the parents don't have to track each student's work or get crushed with all the email notifications.  Is there any way to do this?

I have seen a SubAccounts mod, but it doesn't appear to be updated to work with my version 2.0.11?  I would appreciate any feedback and/or direction.

No...  You can not do that, because smf users can use their email as a login, as well as their username...  So, just like username, emails MUST be unique.

I don't think that sub accounts does what you think it does, either...
However, any mod for 2.0.x will likely work with any other 2.0.x version

ah, disappointing but thank you.  I think some way to achieve this would be a nice feature.

Sir Osis of Liver

Depending on your host, you may be able to set up unlimited email accounts, in which case you can post a message on registration form inviting parents to register, then provide you with names of their kids for whom they want separate member accounts.  You can manually register the kids with email addresses created at your domain, and email login info to the registered parent.
When in Emor, do as the Snamors.

There will never be any way to allow duplicate emails - because (as I said) SMF allows users to log in using their email OR username.

As Sir Osis says, however, there are different ways to approach it.
