Board Permissions

I want few boards to use a permission that will allow the admin and the person made the topic to reply to that topic, no one else. Example user1 posted a topic, admin1 can reply but user2 cannot etc, how can I do that? Thank you.

SMF does not have a permission to allow only the topic starter to reply to a topic they started and no one else.
maybe simpledesk will do what you want better?

I saw it on a smf gaming forum i used to be an admin, maybe they used a mod or something?

anything is possible. without knowing what they have done we cant tell you.

simpledesk for sure will let you have 1 user reply and the admin.

Hi,
I can do so without a mod. Go to Admin/Permissions/Group Permissions. Choose the user group and then scroll down to Board Permissions. There it is.

Set up a profile..  then apply permissions

Post new topics, without requiring approval          
Post new topics, but hide until approved          
Post replies to topics, but hide until approved
   Own topic:          
   Any topic:          
Post replies to topics, without requiring approval
   Own topic:          
   Any topic:          


Set Post New Topics to ALLOW
Set Post replies to topics - Own topic to ALLOW
Set Post replies to topics - ANY topic to DISALLOW
