Need Help - Making Some Changes

Hello Group,

Wasn't sure how to title the subject, sorry if something else was more appropriate.

Can anyone tell me how to go about hiding the areas/items that are circled in RED. I also would like to know how to change the text to something else that are circled in GREEN. Can anyone help me?

Well...  assuming it's 2.0.11, the parts in green can be found in Login.english.php in this block:

I suppose you can edit those to be worded as you wish, but don't remove the apostrophes and semi-colons.  You should back up your file before you do any edits and, if you have a test forum, even better.  Test it first.   


(As for the parts in red, I'll leave the template edits to someone with more skill.  Templates are very touchy; one false move and you "break" your forum.)

also keep in mind that if you do edit those lines, it may have effects in other locations if they are used elsewhere in SMF.
