Having an issue with my recent upgrade to SMF 2.0.11

I recently started having issues with my SMF forum version 1.1.9 and MKportal (deprecation errors), it was a result of my host provider updating to the most recent php. So, I decided it was time to upgrade my SMF to 2.0.11 and get rid of MKPortal as it is not supported anymore and is not upgradeable.

I upgraded my SMF forums to 2.0.11 and it went very smoothly, but I am having a small issue with my old MKPortal install messing things up a bit. If I go to www.dragonmaw.net I get the following errors...

Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/raivensn/public_html/dragonmaw.net/forum/Sources/Load.php on line 133

If I go to www.dragonmaw.net/forum I see my newly upgraded SMF boards and they look great.

How do I get rid of the MKPortal info that is causing errors so that my SMF will load at the address www.dragonmaw.net?

Do you want mkportal? If so parts of it's code needs to be updated to SMF 2.0 versions

No, I no longer wish to use MKPortal I get too much grief with it not being able to upgrade it.

Afaik, mkportal has not received any support in years. I would recommend a different, supported portal mod.

I don't think you guys are understanding my question? I don't want to use MKPortal anymore, I stated that originally.

Do you want any thing at the root domain? or just redirect to the forum?

Not sure I understand, sorry.

What I would like is for my forums to load at the address of www.dragonmaw.net with no errors, currently I get errors there because of the old MKPortal install. As it is now it only accessible through www.dragonmaw.net/forum.

I may at some point later add tiny portal or another compatable portal wrapper, but for now I'm just happy if my SMF opens at the root

you need to remove the old mkportal files. they will not work with your new SMF 2.0 upgraded forum.

Ok think I got it fixed. I removed the index file at the root and then moved all my files/folders from the forum folder to the root. It appears to be working...

One question, should I bother to run the repair tool?

Yes you should as some paths will be changed.
