many attempted login password attempts by guests - best way to sop this ?

i get these errors too often and i suspect it's some Dictionary attempt for unauthorised access.

How can i stop them, please ? ... this is just a couple of the failed login attempts out of many.

Those are not guest errors, they're from registered members.  Login attempts by guests are not logged.  If someone is using legit membernames to attempt login, and they're all from the same IPs, you can block them with .htaccess.

Oh dear. I just had trouble believing that my members are that loose ... but many may be intoxicated, for real !

will mark resolved and will def. take up your .htaccess suggestion if i see many attempts from the same IP.

A cached bad password will produced the same type of errors. I have one member on my forum that produces an error every time he logs in. I've tried explaining why it happens and how to fix it but he just doesn't get it.
